The main reason argued by the trade unions is the <strong>precariousness that dominates the market<\/strong>. This high level of precariousness is based on the labour reform and the refusal of many companies to invest in Occupational Risk Prevention.<\/p>\n<p>According to the study carried out by the CCOO, in Malaga province, there have been <strong>2,167 accidents at work<\/strong>which is a <strong>8.3 % increase over previous year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the <strong>fatal accident rate has risen by 40%<\/strong>The following have been produced <strong>21 deaths in 2017<\/strong>. Of these 17 deaths, 17 occurred in the middle of the working day and 4 in the middle of the day. <em>in itinere<\/em>i.e. on the way to or from work. In 2016, these accidents accounted for 15 losses.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2012, the accident rate has been increasing. During that year there were 14,417 claims, which indicates that from 2012 to 2017 it has increased by 46.7%.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing with this <strong>study of accidents at work<\/strong>In this section, we detail the type of accidents that have occurred throughout 2017.<\/p>\n<h1 id='\u00edndice-de-siniestralidad-por-tipolog\u00eda'>Accident rate by type<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>minor accidents have increased by 8%<\/strong>The number of people in the EU was more than 20,700.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>serious accidents were more than 400<\/strong>which is an increase of 30%.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Fatal accidents increased 40%<\/strong>to 21 deaths.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id='\u00edndice-de-siniestralidad-por-sectores'>Accident rate by sector<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Service sector<\/strong> has been more pronounced in terms of work-related accidents in Malaga. A total of 15,600 accidents were recorded, 73% of the total, including 6 deaths.<\/li>\n<li>The second sector with the second highest accident rate is the <strong>construction industry<\/strong>with 3,000 accidents. However, this sector is the first in terms of the number of fatalities, 8 in total.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> industry<\/strong> is considered the sector with the third highest accident rate, with 1,786 accidents and 3 fatalities.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>agricultural sector<\/strong> is in fourth place, with 652 accidents and 4 fatalities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to CCOO, in the<em> II Survey on Preventive Management in Andalusian companies<\/em>the <strong>22% of these do not allocate any resources to preventive management.<\/strong>.
